There is something important happening in Haiti right now, young people are getting more involved to ask for just one thing; “CHANGE”. Young folks have always played an important role in changing things around the world, and if we go back a little bit in Haiti’s history, young Haitian people have always changed the course of history by ending the regime of Duvalier, and impacted the election of 2017 when they went out and voted. Change takes time, a great deal of human resources and long term and strategic planning. How we decide to contribute this change and why it is important to design the future that can greatly contribute to it?
Contributing to the “change” process is mandatory, while we understand we all don’t have the same talent, but we are convinced that our talent(s) can be used somewhere in the middle to complete the “change” equation. And we are the tourism group who believe this other part of this growing revolution dedicated to help create a better business environment to facilitate investment, small businesses growth and most importantly create more employment opportunities. With that being said, we renew our engagement to bring together all the actors in the tourism Ecosystem this November to discuss strategic driven ideas to attract more investments in the country in the next 30 years.
This is a common voice from leading tourism organizations to simple travelers who believe in this vision, who believe the best way to address the lack of jobs in Haiti is to have an understanding of how all element in this system can work together to facilitate Haiti’s economic growth. Building the Haiti of tomorrow is not an easy task and it is not the job of one person, one group or a political party. It require the involvement of all of us. Tourism Innovation Inc. is proud to be part of this change by creating the first platform of discussion that brings together all the great actors in the tourism Ecosystem locally and internationally to strategize around ideas that can create jobs by facilitating more investments in the Tourism Sector. Be part of the progress by joining this historical summit this November
