This Wednesday, January 31, 2018, an agreement was signed by Haiti Minister of Tourism and Airbnb to promote Haiti as a tourist Destination through specific Airbnb marketing initiatives and digital campaigns. This campaign was announced on social media by @Airbnb Co-founder, CEO Brian Chesky after the current president of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump refers to Haiti and countries from Africa as Sh##thole countries. The agreement was signed by Ms. Colombe Emilie Jessy Menos, the current Minister of Tourism and Shawn Sullivan, as well as Carlos Munez both, are representatives of Airbnb.
Ms. Menos focuses on the benefits of this agreement which she says will propel tourism in the country and she takes the opportunity to invite and encourage locals to participate in the process. Mr. Shawn Sullivian informs all the new and potential partners that the platform is working hard to ease registration process.
