Since Cap-Haitien International Airport has been built, American Airline was the only airline to have a direct international flight from Miami, while Sunrise Airways was serving the local Market. This week Spirit Airline announces new flights to the city from Fort-Lauderdale starting April 2018. “Getting to Cap-Haïtien, Haiti just got a whole lot easier. Whether you are visiting family and friends or just on vacation we can get you to the island of enriching museums, skilled artisans and Poulet Aux Noix, a local favorite Kreyòl dish.” posted on Spirit Airline official Facebook.
Cap-Haitien is slowly becoming the next tourists destination in the Caribbean, the city signed an agreement with Puerto Plata last month to promote both cities to their respective niche of tourists. Next year in November the first Tourism Innovation Summit by Haiti Tourism Inc, Haiti-Benelux Chamber of Commerce and the Minister of Tourism will be taking place there. The event will bring together the most influential people in the tourism sector from Around the world from investors to Government elected personals.
