If you have Haitians living in your community or you have a Haitian’s friend or even listening to some of Haitians tunes; you might hear the mention of Griot or Tasso. Both are Haitian traditional Haitian foods and appreciated by many who visit Haiti. Several times, when I walk into a restaurant, I can’t help but notice some tourists eating our amazing Haitian griot without PIKLIZ. Who does that?
The next time you are in Haiti, and you are planning to eat some Griot, please put some PIKLIZ on it, and some “Banne Peze” (plantains) on the side.
