As the Haitian community is getting ready for Sunrise’s inauguration flight, the Haitian airline company had a press event in Orlando, and the plane flew in the United States for the first time. A successful press event leading by Sandy Laborde, a successful young Haitian entrepreneur in charge of the Company’s PR in the area.
Sunrise Airways is rising to meet the progressively expanding demand for safe, reliable, and affordable air travel to and throughout the Caribbean. From its hub in Port-au-Prince, Sunrise Airways operates daily scheduled passenger flights serving Santo Domingo, (SDQ and JBQ); Havana (HAV), Camaguey (CMW) and Santiago de Cuba (SCU) in Cuba; and Cap Haitien (CAP). New flights to/from Orlando, FL (MCO) and Miami (MIA) will launch on October 17, 2017.
Additional new flights connecting Haiti with Curacao (CUR); Georgetown, Guyana (GEO); Kingston, Jamaica (KIN); Providenciales, Turks & Caicos (PLS); and Nassau, The Bahamas (NAS) are planned for 2017-2018, pending government approval. In line with the expansion of its route network, Sunrise Airways has initiated service aboard a 150-seat Airbus A320 and a 168-seat Boeing 737-800.
